One of one. A round frame in gold, drawn with the thinnest wire and balanced on a slim straight bridge. Warm brown lenses, even in tone from edge to edge, soften the light without dimming it. Where temples would be, a gold chain falls to two raw purple quartz stones, each hand-set in a gold-dipped cap.

The Frame

Gold-tone metal round frame with a fine wire rim and a slim bridge. Temple-less: the chain is the temple.

The Lens

Solid brown polycarbonate lenses: lightweight, shatterproof, UV400. A warm tint that flatters the face and keeps the afternoon quiet.

The Chain

18K gold-plated box chain, fine enough to disappear against the skin and heavy enough to hang straight when the glasses rest at the collar.

The Stone

Two natural purple quartz stones, left raw and hand-set in 18K gold-plated caps. Pale lilac with deeper violet flecks, and no other stone carries the same pattern. This is the only Procida.

Most glasses are held by two arms. These are held by a chain — and every other decision followed from that one.

THE FRAME

There are no arms.

The chain clips into a small gold loop at each corner, passes the ear, and falls. Behind that loop there is nothing at all.

Polycarbonate. It absorbs impact instead of breaking, and the UV400 filter is part of the material itself — no coating on top to scratch away or fade.

THE BALANCE

Weight, settled before assembly. The chain is weighed against the frame and against the stone, so the piece balances itself and sits where you set it.
