One of one. A gold navigator frame, broad across the face and squared at the corners, with a ribbed brow bar that reads like a strand of fine jewellery set above the eyes. Warm brown lenses hold their tone from top to bottom, softening only slightly at the lower edge. The temples are replaced by a gold chain that ends in two raw quartz points, one sky blue and one pink, each hand-set in a gold-dipped cap.

The Frame

Gold-tone metal navigator with a ribbed brow bar and a slim bridge. Temple-less: the chain is the temple.

The Lens

Brown polycarbonate lenses: lightweight, shatterproof, UV400. A warm, even tint that flatters skin and takes the glare out of a bright afternoon.

The Chain

18K gold-plated box chain, with enough weight to rest quietly at the collarbone and to slip away cleanly when the glasses are lifted off.

The Stone

Two natural quartz stones, one blue and one pink, left raw and hand-set in 18K gold-plated caps. The pairing is intentional, and no other pair carries the same two points. This is the only Bellagio.

Most glasses are held by two arms. These are held by a chain — and every other decision followed from that one.

THE FRAME

There are no arms.

The chain clips into a small gold loop at each corner, passes the ear, and falls. Behind that loop there is nothing at all.

Polycarbonate. It absorbs impact instead of breaking, and the UV400 filter is part of the material itself — no coating on top to scratch away or fade.

Weight, settled before assembly. The chain is weighed against the frame and against the stone, so the piece balances itself and sits where you set it.
