One stone is taken out of many, and its marks are left alone.
One of one. A rimless square in gold, the lenses left open at the edges so the shape reads as pure line and shadow. Deep ink-blue lenses, dark all the way through, sit on a slim gold bridge with a small gold end piece at each outer corner. In place of temples, a gold chain runs down to two pale sky-blue quartz stones, each hand-set in a gold-dipped cap.
Gold-tone metal rimless square: two squared lenses with softened corners, held by a fine bridge and a gold end piece at each side. Temple-less: the chain is the temple.
Deep ink-blue solid polycarbonate lenses: lightweight, shatterproof, UV400. Dark and even from edge to edge, with the faintest blue cast when the sun hits them.
18K gold-plated box chain, fine enough to disappear into a collar and heavy enough to hang straight when you lift the frame away.
Two natural blue quartz stones, left raw and hand-set in 18K gold-plated caps. Pale and cloudy like shallow water over sand, each one faceted as it was found. This is the only Sardinia.
Designed in Egypt.
AS WORN
No studio. An afternoon out, and the pair exactly as it arrives — held by the chain, resting on the shoulders.

THE ATELIER
No arms. Real stone. Yours alone.
THE OBJECT
Most glasses are held by two arms. These are held by a chain — and every other decision followed from that one.
THE FRAME
The chain clips into a small gold loop at each corner, passes the ear, and falls. Behind that loop there is nothing at all.
THE LENS
Polycarbonate. It absorbs impact instead of breaking, and the UV400 filter is part of the material itself — no coating on top to scratch away or fade.

THE CHAIN
Square links keep their line instead of twisting into a rope, so the chain lies flat and stays put. The 18K plating covers every link, not just the faces you see.

THE STONE
Every stone is natural — chosen, not made. No two come out of the ground alike, so no two pairs leave here alike.
THE BALANCE
Weight, settled before assembly. The chain is weighed against the frame and against the stone, so the piece balances itself and sits where you set it.
HOW IT IS MADE

03
Built to length, plated through, fixed at each corner.

VANNAE
