One of one. A square frame in a warm, rosy gold, drawn thin at the rim and softened at the corners so the shape sits easy on the face. Brown lenses shade from deep chocolate at the brow to pale amber at the cheek. Where temples would be, a gold chain runs down to two raw blue quartz stones, each hand-set in a gold-dipped cap.

The Frame

Gold-tone metal square with a slim full rim and a fine bridge, the gold leaning warm and rose. Temple-less: the chain is the temple.

The Lens

Brown gradient polycarbonate lenses: lightweight, shatterproof, UV400. Rich at the top, open at the bottom, so the world stays warm without going dim.

The Chain

18K gold-plated box chain, running from the outer corners to hang loose and to lift the glasses off in one quiet movement.

The Stone

Two natural blue quartz stones, pale as sea glass and left raw, hand-set in 18K gold-plated caps. Each stone keeps its own shape, so the pair can never be repeated. This is the only Menton.

Most glasses are held by two arms. These are held by a chain — and every other decision followed from that one.

THE FRAME

There are no arms.

The chain clips into a small gold loop at each corner, passes the ear, and falls. Behind that loop there is nothing at all.

Polycarbonate. It absorbs impact instead of breaking, and the UV400 filter is part of the material itself — no coating on top to scratch away or fade.

Weight, settled before assembly. The chain is weighed against the frame and against the stone, so the piece balances itself and sits where you set it.
